New Nighttime Ritual with Hey Girl Tea

If you know me, you know I'm a coffee and tea enthusiast. There's just something comforting about a warm mug of a delicious drink that you can sip and relax. My pantry has no shortage of tea varieties, but just when I was sure I had tried them all, I was introduced to Hey Girl Tea. I'm always up for trying a new tea and I was instantly intrigued by the name and the adorable packaging. They offer teas with so many great benefits such as Energize, Sleep, Feel Better, and Cleanse.
I tried out the Sleep tea and the mint chocolate Cleanse tea - yes, you read that right...mint chocolate tea. It is every bit as delicious as it sounds! The directions on both teas suggest using them before bed, hence the reason they have become a staple in my nighttime routine. I enjoy making a cup of the Sleep tea about 45 minutes before I go to bed and sipping it as Stephen and I watch an episode of whichever show we are currently watching. It has a Tangerine Dream flavor which is very relaxing and I have noticed that I've been falling asleep faster and sleeping better since drinking it.
I usually make the Cleanse tea a little bit earlier in the evening - the directions suggest drinking it anytime after dinner to before bed. I typically make it an hour or so after dinner - I've just found that works best or me. The best part is that I can make this on nights when I'm craving something sweet and it satisfies my dessert craving without having a ton of sugar and calories like an actual dessert would.
During this quarantine time, I've fond that prioritizing self care and having as much of a routine as possible have been helpful in keeping me sane and feeling my best.
