My Everyday Makeup Routine

The questions I get asked most frequently have to do with makeup, so I'm sharing my everyday makeup routine with you all! I mix things up a bit from time to time, but these are my most worn, go to products that I reach for the most. 

No matter how amazing your foundation is, primer is an important step to me. Whether your skin is dry or oily, it preps your skin and gives it the perfect canvas to apply makeup to. I definitely notice a difference if I skip this step. This is a great primer because its a spray and its cruelty free, free of parabens,  and hypoallergenic. 

 

This is hands down the best foundation I have ever used! Its crazy long wearing (like 24 hours if you needed it to be), full coverage, and is not overly dewy or matte - it has just the perfect finish. I apply it with a foundation brush, which I find works best with this particular foundation. I wear it daily, but it is also the perfect foundation for a wedding, photoshoot, or event.

For under eye concealer, I love LimeLife's Perfect Concealer in shade 0. It is just the best at really brightening up that area without looking too white or pink. It's also waterproof, feels so lightweight,  and doesn't crease on me like many other concealers do.

Waterproof bronzer. It's real you guys, and I don't think I'm ever going back! I apply my bronzer next before powder, because this bronzer is a different consistency than most. It's not a cream, but not really a powder either. I have found it applies best before any powders, so I use a dense angled kabuki brush to apply it. The reason I love this one so much is because the finish is so natural - not powdery, not shimmery, not flat. It stays on all day and lasts even if you stand under a waterfall (yes I've tried it)! I just can't say enough good things!

I also prime my eyelids before applying eyeshadow - this makes the color payoff better and the shadows last longer without creasing. I've been using this one from Nars for as long as I can remember and it works like a charm!

I have so many eyeshadow palettes that I literally hold them up with bookends (seriously). I switch between many of them, but I find myself reaching for this Jaclyn Hill Morphe palette waaaay more than anything else! I also love to pack it when I travel because I'm totally covered no matter what the occasion. I can create tons of eye looks with this one palette, so 9 times out of 10 this is what I'm wearing. I've had it since it came out about a year ago and its still going strong and only $35!

I use this eyeshadow for my brows and it is my favorite brow product (LimeLife eyeshadow in "Brownie Points")! Matte eyeshadow looks more natural to me than a pencil and fills in easier. This particular brown is the perfect tone - not too warm or tool cool and is flattering on most brunettes.

When it comes to eyeliner, I love to wing it! I'm obsessed with this LimeLife by Alcone eyeliner pen because it makes doing my eyeliner so quick and hassle free. It also make it easy to do a wing because of how flexible the tip is. It takes practice, but if you're going to practice do it with this! So much easier to work with than most liquid liners.

I use MAC gel liner on my bottom waterline. Its waterproof and lasts all day. Its also great to line your lids with too!

The L'Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise is my drugstore favorite! Since mascara is the beauty product I go through the fastest, I love having a great drugstore option. This stuff volumes and lengthens and makes a dramatic difference!

I change up my blush day to day between a few different shades, but Milani Luminoso is my go to! It is one of those universally flattering shades and gives the perfect amount of color payoff and glow. As you can see, I'm hitting pan on mine because I wear it all the time.

Highlight really does make all the difference in making your skin look amazing. I love the Laura Mercier Matte Radience in 01. Its perfect for day to day and can be built up for a more dramatic evening look as well. It doesn't look like a streak of highlighter on your cheekbones either - it just blends right into your skin and looks flawless. It will also last for years!
