My Favorite Fitness Gear and Taking Time For Yourself

I'm the first to admit I'm super guilty of being busy and going, going, going, until I'm running on empty. Anyone else with me? I think so many of us lead busy lives and struggle to find time just for ourselves. However, the saying is so true that you "can't pour from an empty cup." I've come to realize that working harder or longer day in and day out is not going to be beneficial if I'm starting the next day exhausted and feeling imbalanced. Work/life balance (especially with some "me" time) is essential to making everything I do run smoother and more effectively. It's definitely not something I've perfected by any means, but I'm making more of a conscious effort to balance each aspect of my daily life. 

Working out is definitely an activity that helps me have a better week. I feel better both physically and emotionally when I get a workout in, whether its a Tracy Anderson video at home, a bike ride, or a walk with my dog, Maggie. There is something so therapeutic about getting outside in the fresh air and sunshine and pushing myself harder than I did the time before. 

My go-to workout essentials that I think anyone would love regardless of the type of workout you do are my Fabletics workout gear, my Apple watch, and my Asics running shoes. I love Fabletics because there is such a wide variety of outfits to choose from, from entire put together outfits, to separate tops, bottoms, jackets, etc. This all black getup is one of my go-tos because its simple and I love how my hot pink Asics pop against the black! Speaking of which, these are the BEST running shoes, or sneakers in general. I've had mine for years and they are still my absolute favorite. I've gotten my hubby and one of my best friends hooked too - trust me, you need these in your life. Having cute workout gear you love is such a great motivator to get you out and going! I also really love my Apple watch for so many things, but especially the fitness tracking aspects. It sets daily goals for you based on your activity levels and is really motivating for me. There are even monthly challenges, great visuals, and helpful reminders to meet your goals. It would be a great gift idea with the holidays coming up!
